Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Class had a very exciting morning making Christmas wreaths with members of the Parents’ Association and friends today. The wreaths were sold on Santa Sunday with all proceeds going to school funds.
Many thanks to Emma Murphy, Valerie Mulcahy, Aoife McCarthy and their team Pat Lenihan, Carmel McCarthy and Patricia Rea for volunteering their time and expertise.
Our thanks again to Denis McCarthy and his horticultural company Folium for generously donating the large number of materials needed to make the wreaths, Valerie Mulcahy for sponsoring the hyacinth plants, as well as the parents who donated foliage, jars and decorations. Go raibh maith agaibh!
Thank you also to the many families who purchased the wreaths made, as well as the hyacinth plants & sweet jars decorated by Junior Infants – 2nd Class. In excess of €1,200 was raised from this initiative alone, organised by the Gardening Committee. Míle Buíochas!
