Today was a sad day in Scoil Barra Naofa as we said goodbye to Claire Galvin who has been our much loved school secretary for the last twenty years. She worked diligently and enthusiastically during her time with us and was responsible for putting in place so many of the initiatives which help the school run efficiently. Claire put so much effort into the job over the years, working on tasks at home long after her working day was finished. She had a very high standard in everything she took on. Above all she was the welcoming face of the school; greeting visitors with her warm and friendly smile. She had a wonderful way with the children, she got to know them and their parents so well and had so much information at her fingertips! She endeared herself to all of us with her cheerfulness, sense of humour and generosity of spirit! We wish her well in her retirement and thank her for her dedicated service to the school over the years. She will be sadly missed by staff, pupils and parents. Go raibh míle maith agat, Claire! You will always have a special place in our hearts. Go n-eirí an bóthar leat! Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís!
