Well done to all of our athletes who participated in Cork City Sports today, in challenging wet conditions. They all ran their hearts out and we are very proud of them.
Well done to Charlie Lester, Cian Power, Lily Horgan, Romy Barry and Beth Barry who came 1st in their individual races, qualifying for the Quarter Finals of the County Championship. Congratulations also to Daniel Horgan who came second in his individual race and Áine Power, Tara McSweeney and Lauren Dinan who all came third in their races.
Our relay teams also were very successful with the Junior Boys’ Team and Senior Girls’ Teams who both came 2nd in their races and the Junior Girls’ Team who came 3rd.
Due to the brilliant successes of our female athletes the Girls’ Athletics team claimed the Overall Winners Prize in their division – Roinn 13!
Thank you to all of the teachers and parents who helped out today and contributed to the day being such a success. Well done again to all our athletes – maith sibh go léir!
