We were delighted to welcome John Spillane to SBN on Friday Jan 7th. John will be working with the children in 3rd class over the next few weeks as part of the Creative Clusters Initiative. We are thrilled to have John as a mentor to guide and inspire us along the way. Throughout the duration of this initiative we will work on a project plan to enhance all the strands of the music curriculum and place an emphasis on the importance of enjoying the process of music making and composing rather than just focusing on the product. We will also integrate other subject areas throughout the initiative such as SESE, English, Gaeilge and SPHE. The children really enjoyed engaging in their first song writing workshop today and they did a wonderful job. Well done to all who took part!
