Yesterday we welcomed past pupil, Art Kelleher, to the school. Art is now studying medicine and is a member of the Surgeon Noonan Society. As part of his medical studies, Art is going to work in a hospital in Tanzania for a month during the summer. Art did a teddy bear hospital with the Infants and First Class and spoke to Second Class about the work of the Doctor. He covered various aspects of First Aid with Third and Fourth Classes and spoke to Fifth and Sixth Classes about health issued in Ireland and Africa. It was a very interesting and interactive visit. Art’s trip is self-financed but the charity requires Art to fundraise for the hospital. Thanks to everyone who supported our ‘No Uniform Day’ to help with this. An incredible €503 was raised. Thank you for your support!
