Today 5th Class explored the South Side of Cork City with a very knowledgeable tour guide, named Noreen.They visited an enormous amount of historical monuments and places. The list is endless but here are just a few locations that they explored: The Great World War I Memorial on South Mall, the monument on Sráid an Chapaill Bhuí (Grand Parade), The Bishop Lucey Park, Elizabeth Fort, St. Peter’s Church. St. Finbarr’s Cathedral and University College Cork. They especially enjoyed their visit to Crawford Observatory in UCC. A great day was had by all!
