Final Assembly

We had our final action packed assembly of the year today and we had many exciting events to celebrate – our first Student Council Student of the Year Award, our Full Attendance recipients to acknowledge, the presentation of prizes to the Passage West Maritime Art Competition winners, the fantastic award of a Texaco Art Competition Certificate, the launch of our school song, the phone and battery raffle, a surprise visit from Nollaig Hunter, winner of the recent Cork City marathon along with officially raising our fabulous new EU Flag! We also took the opportunity to wish our Sixth Class well as they leave us to head off to Secondary School in August. Special congratulations to Billy Quirk in Fourth Class who was declared Student of the Year, unanimously agreed by the Student Council for his endless enthusiasm, smiling face and his kindness and helpfulness to others. Well done to Mark Hallissey (J. Infs.), Honor O’ Mullane (S.Infs.), Barra O’ Brien and Isabella Murray (First Class), Emma Higgins, Lucy O’ Connell and Lena Garcia (Second Class), Maya Ryan and Tara Kennedy ( Third Class), Ronan Dressler (Fourth Class), Evan Clarke, Jack Hallissey and Julie Higgins (Fifth Class) and Josh O’ Dwyer and Luke Hegarty (Sixth Class) who had a 100% attendance rate. Well done! Congratulations to the winners of the recent Maritime Art Competition in Passage West : Sophie Gunn (Junior Infants), Romy Barry (Senior infants), Sabrina Moynihan (First Class), Lucy O’Connell (Second Class), Nicole Dinan (Third Class), Abby Hughes (Fourth Class), Emily O’Flynn (Fifth Class), Erin McKinney (Sixth Class) and a special mention to Cathal McCarthy (Third Class). Well done to Daisy Mulcahy (First Class) who won the phone and battery award for term three. We were thrilled to hear that Fiadh Kelleher was given a special commendation in the Texaco Art Competition. Comhghairdeas, Fiadh! We are so very proud of you!
