Congratulations to all our 2nd Class pupils who made their First Communion on Saturday last. Despite the weather, it was a wonderful occasion and we were extremely proud of all of our pupils on the day. Many thanks to Ms. Clifford, Audrey, Jacqui, Mary, Fr. Seán and the parents involved in the Do This in Memory Programme for all of their help and support in preparing the pupils for the sacrament. Our thanks also to Mrs. Mary O’Keeffe for accompanying the communicants on the piano, to Martin, the sacristans and altar society for their help in readying the church and Trish Harris for the floral decorations at the end of the pews. Our thanks also to the Parents’ Association for their support in so many ways – sponsoring the beautiful certificates and organising the communion reception, along with the parents of First Class, in the school hall, which was as always a lovely gathering!
