Friendship Week took place in SBN from 12/02/2020 to 19/02/2020. It was a fantastic week that was filled with many activities and lessons based on the theme of Friendship. These included Art, SPHE, Drama, Music and Story telling. Many classes took part in a ‘Secret Buddy’ system and some classes held a ‘Friendship Cafe’ during lunchtime. Children from 6th Class read out some interesting quotes over the intercom each day. We feel it is so important to foster and develop positive relationships throughout the whole school community. Competitions also took place during the week to allow the children to creatively explore the meaning of friendship. Some ideas included friendship posters, friendship adjective poems and friendship recipes. The main message of the week was ‘You have to be a friend, to have a friend.’
