Pick Me Up Week!

Commencing on Monday October 11th we will host SBN Pick Me Up Week. During the week the staff and children will be encouraged to undertake random acts of kindness for one another. Classes will sing songs, read stories and undertake SPHE lessons related to friendships, kindness and community spirit. SBN Pick Me Up Week takes place in honour of our dear friend and the greatest pick me personality of all, Fr Con Cronin. Fr Con’s spirit, his belief in the importance of gratitude and his belief in the importance of random acts of kindness was a source of inspiration for all who met him. We hope to keep this spirit alive in our school community and we plan to host this event, in memory of Con, on an annual basis.

We ask that children might donate one or two euro of their own pocket money in honour of Fr Con. We will place collection jars in classes if children wish to donate. This year monies raised will go towards the Fr Con Memorial Bench Fund currently being run across the Harbour Parishes. Monies will also go towards the purchase of a tree which will be planted at SBN in memory of Con and in the spirit of joy and gratitude.

Go on commit a random act of kindness today!
