Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Class pupils went to visit Terry Fitzgerald’s ‘Rooster’ exhibition during the week. Terry gave a very interesting talk to the children and organised a naming competition for one of her paintings. The lucky winners were Rian Mulcahy in Fourth Class with ‘King Cluck’, Harry McHugh in Fifth Class with ‘Ray’ and James Hassett in Sixth Class with ‘The Flame’. The children came up with some great stories to accompany their entries and it proved very difficult to choose the winners. We are very grateful to Terry for inviting the children to visit and for the effort she put into making it so memorable for all. We wish her every success with the remainder of the exhibition. Go raibh maith agat, Terry!
