We had a very exciting day today with the final of S.B.N’s Got Talent. The ten finalists were singers, Ellen Bruen, Kara Dunne, Emily O’ Flynn, James Desmond and Ronan Dressler, gymnasts, Niky Lyons, Ruby Walsh and George O’ Keefe, dancers, Abby O’ Neill, Phoebe Kelleher, Eve Gardiner, Deirbhile Quane, Lucy O’ Connell and Tara McSweeney, comedians, Dara Headworth, Tony Geraghty and Hugo McGuire, musicians, Blaine Fleming, Marc Coakley, Aoibhinn Fitzgerald, Billy Quirk and Saoirse O’ Brien, and drama group, Ryan Nolan, Nicole Dinan, Tara Kennedy, Josh Walsh, Charlie Lester, Sophie Jones and Adam O’ Flynn. Although all the acts were fantastic, unfortunately there could only be one winner. Our champion for 2016 as voted for by the students was Ellen Bruen from Second Class who sang the song ‘Naughty’ from Matilda. She has an amazing voice and was so confident and expressive throughout her performance. She was indeed a worthy winner. Maith thú, Ellen! Well done to all the participants, presenters, Luke O’ Sullivan and Charlie Cullinane and judges, Joy Desmond, Jack Hallissey and Jack Levis. Our thanks to Ms. Marshall for organising the event. Everyone at school agreed that it was a superb show!
