Today the Awards Ceremony of the Schools Garden Competition, organised by Muintir na Tíre & Cork County Council took place in County Hall. The school received an “Commended” award in the “New Garden” Category – which Tara and Beth from 2nd class were thrilled to accept on behalf of the school! Well done to all of the pupils who have been so involved in the gardens this year – all who were out planting, weeding and watering, painting fairy doors and bird tables, and helping develop and maintain our wonderful garden! Special thanks to the Garden Committee led by Aoife O’ Mahony (Alissa & Rohan’s mother), as well as Audrey and Vivian for all their hard work! Maith sibh go léir!
